We at Pure English are excited to work
with you and your bridesmaids throughout your wedding planning. To help
you through the process, from shopping, to ordering, to pick-up, we’ve
provided the following helpful hints and guidelines. Please take a
moment to look over the information provided, and let us know if you
have any questions. We’re here to help!
Measurements
Bridesmaid dress sizes do not run like
ready-to-wear clothing. Standard sizes are chosen based on your
measurements. Please provide your bust, waist, hip, height, and normal
dress size. We ask that clients get professionally measured to ensure the
most accurate sizing.
If you are unable to be professionally
measured, you may take your measurements as follows:
| With a soft measuring tape, measure
your bust. Make sure the tape is straight along your back, and
around you’re the fullest part of your bustline. Pull the tape
flush to your skin, but not too tight. Please note that your bust
measurement is not the same as your bra size. |
| Measure your waist at the smallest
part, or natural waist. To find your natural waist, place your
hand on your waist and bend. This crease is generally the smallest
part of your waist. |
| Measure you hip around the fullest
part, usually including the tush. Do not measure your thighs,
unless they are truly wider than your hipline. |
Extra length is strongly recommended at heights of 5’9
and above. Please note that extra length is a standard add-on; you might
need further adjustments during alterations. Extra length and plus size
dresses will incur a small extra charge. These will vary between
designers.
To choose your size, please refer to the
specific designer’s size chart (also available on the maids page of our
site) www.pureenglishbridal.com If you fall between sizes, we suggest
going up to the next size, as dresses can be tailored down to fit, but
cannot be made larger to accommodate.
We are happy to advise you in sizing, but
the ultimate choice is up to each individual, or the bride. Pure English
is not responsible for sizing choices. Designers do not accept returns or
exchanges.
Bridesmaid dresses typically take about
three months to arrive in our studio. It is never too early to shop for
your dresses, but we recommend a minimum order time of six months out.
Sometimes orders can be rushed, but that can never be guaranteed, and will
incur additional charges.
In order to make your process as efficient
and trouble-free as possible, we ask that you provide one point of contact
for us. To prevent any confusion, this person should gather all the
measurements and size choices and e-mail or fax them to us collectively.
We do not accept measurements over the phone.

Bridesmaid dresses are paid in full at the
time of ordering. Often, the contact person will make this payment, and
have the maids reimburse her. If this is not an option, we ask that the
payments be made at one time, rather than trickling in. This helps is to
keep your information as organized as possible.
Alterations are almost always required.
Pure English does NOT offer alterations in house for maids.
I have read and understand the above
information.
